Es una placa <strong>hardware libre<sup>2<\/sup><\/strong>, dise\u00c3\u00b1ada con <a href=\"http:\/\/kicad.sourceforge.net\/wiki\/Main_Page\">Kicad<\/a> y <strong>compatible con<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arduino.cc\/\">Arduino<\/a>. Como disponemos de dos impresoras 3D (2 thing-o-matic de makerbot), los estudiantes pueden &#8220;imprimirse&#8221; sus propios <strong>printbots<\/strong> y programarlos con la skymega.
